Young Persons’ Lecture Competition – MinSouth Heat

Don’t miss the opportunity to attend the 2025 MinSouth Heat of the Young Persons’ Lecture Competition on Thursday, March 13th!
The event will be hosted at the Royal School of Mines in South Kensington, London, and will feature three outstanding presentations from young researchers. You can also join the event online via GoToMeeting if you are unable to travel.
The three competitors along with the topics they will present:
- Fin Isaacs, Porphyry endowment from propylitic minerals: a study of the greenrocks of the Chimborazo District, Chile
- Nachayada Phonseela, Coupled groundwater-surface water modelling workflow to support risk assessment of an abandoned underground coal mine due to natural mine water rebound
- Noah Evans, Tailings Storage Facility Stability and the Effect of Excess Pore Water Pressure
