DESCRIPTION:After the AGM Rob Davies\, a Director of Forge International Limited and Chief Technical Officer of Brazil Iron Limited\, will be talking about resource estimation\, implications and reporting to markets and shareholders. \nThe estimation of a Mineral Resource is one of the most significant steps in the development of a mining project. Resource estimates underpin project value and influence all subsequent technical and economic studies. A Resource estimate provides the first opportunity for the informal project valuations that drive equity markets. Reliable Resource estimates and clear and transparent disclosure are critical to both mining/exploration companies and investors.  This presentation is intended as an introduction to the Resource estimation process\, the principles of public disclosure and the role of the resource geologist. \n

DESCRIPTION:FINEX’18 is a two-day conference focusing on the role of funding exploration\, development and mining. It is the 6th of a biennial conference series established in 2008 with the aim of bringing together explorationists and mining companies with those from the financial sector\, in one of the largest mining capitals of the world. \nFINEX ’18 will cover a wide range of topics associated with funding exploration and development by prominent experts in their field. The invited speakers bring to FINEX ’18 the latest trends in exploration\, development and finance within the sector. \nFINEX ’18 is a not-for-profit event with low registration fees enabling all to attend\, thanks to sponsorship by companies and time freely given by the organising committee and the invited speakers. FINEX ’18 is fully catered with coffee and tea breaks and lunch. At the close of the first day we host a networking cocktail and at the close of the conference there will be a drinks reception giving students and younger entrants to the industry an opportunity to meet each other and longer-established delegates.
