SUMMARY:Sensors in Mining (Microsoft Teams)
DESCRIPTION:Join Microsoft Teams Meeting \nSensors: \nGordon Stove of Adrok will give a talk on Low-carbon\, Low-cost\, Low-risk\, High value-adding Technology for Mineral Exploration; \nFinding subsurface natural resources is getting harder\, not easier.  Explorers are having to look deeper under cover to find new resources and reserves.  Coupled with the technical challenges\,  safeguarding our environment and natural beauty is also critical to the Explorer.   Adrok has developed a deep ranging radio wave system that can pinpoint natural resources in an environmentally friendly and sensitive way.  Surveys are low-carbon affairs and do not destruct the subsurface.   Adrok’s goal is to make the world a better place by better understanding what lies beneath the earth surface. We aim to help our clients increase their exploration success \nAndrew Bamber of Bara Consulting will be talking about Modifying your Modifying Factors with the use of Sensors \nSensors come in many forms and can be used for many things\, but possibly the best use of sensors is for the discovery\, definition\, and characterization of orebodies both before and during mining activity. This talk will review several types of sensor plus examples of use in each of these roles\, and present some case study examples of where either significant dilution or loss was avoided through the application of sensor technology. \n  \nJoin Microsoft Teams Meeting \n

SUMMARY:Sundowner
DESCRIPTION:Video conference is done through Wonder.  As their web page states: \n“Wonder is a space where you can connect to others in a more spontaneous and fluid way. You move around freely between groups. It’s fun\, creative and energizing. We call this concept fluid togetherness\, we think it’s the future of how people will connect online in future and we’re incredibly excited about it. The best thing is that Wonder is going to be a the core of it.” \nThere are separate rooms available at this space for Students\, Geologists\, Mining Engineers and Metallurgists.  Anyone can go into whichever room. \nHere is the link: \nSundowners\n
