About
The South East England local society of IOM3.
MinSouth represents mining and minerals professionals across London and the South East, connecting consultants, industry suppliers, academics, and students through the region’s IOM3 community. Supported by an IOM3 grant and by sponsorship from companies who share our aims, MinSouth has represented the region since 1958.
MinSouth Mission Statement
The mission of MinSouth is to be a focus for mining & minerals related professionals based or working in the South of England. MinSouth provides a network for such professionals. We offer continual technical development through regular lectures and presentations. We work to communicate and influence the wider public as to mining related issues and to support the IOM3 in its objectives. We are involved in supporting the educational system for the development of the next generation of mining professionals.

Who We Are
A voice through the Mining and Minerals grouping of the IOM3. We are funded by a grant from the IOM3 and through company sponsors who share our learned society aims.
Our Community
Our members belong to the thriving mining community in the south of England and centred on London. We include technical consultants, suppliers of equipment and support services, financial advisors and the head office staff of major international mining companies and junior mining companies. Also we have members representing academic institutions in particular teaching geology and mining engineering / mineral processing, which lie within our geographic area. International visitors are welcome to our meetings. IOM3 members can select us as their local society and are entitled to attend all meetings. Non IOM3 members may join MinSouth directly as affiliates. We welcome new members.
