The estimation of a Mineral Resource is one of the most significant steps in the development of a mining project. Resource estimates underpin project value and influence all subsequent technical and economic studies. A Resource estimate provides the first opportunity for the informal project valuations that drive equity markets. Reliable Resource estimates and clear and transparent disclosure are critical to both mining/exploration companies and investors. This presentation is intended as an introduction to the Resource estimation process, the principles of public disclosure and the role of the resource geologist.
