Mount Polley Mine (Canada) Tailings Spill Remediation – Challenges & Successes

After the tailings dam at the Mount Polley mine failed and 25 million cubic metres of water, tailings and embankment materials spilled into the surrounding environment, significant progress has been made into remediating the spill impacts. This talk reviews the clean-up and repair that has taken place since the 2014 failure.
