Lara Tritton from the University of Leicester won the competition with an outstanding presentation. The title of this presentation was Sourcing critical metals Te, Bi and W as by-products from Björkdal Gold Mine, Sweden.
The other two competitors gave excellent presentation as well.
- Marek Zastapilo from Imperial College presented Iron oxide impurities in ore concentrates from the Moma titanium mine, Mozambique – their origin and implications for processing
- Oscar Ryans from WSP presented Tailings Storage Dam Break Assessment – Triple Cascade Failure
